Being able to effectively perform an assessment is a must in this day of corporate responsibility.  Assessments can be both internally or externally focused.  An assessment provides an indicator as to how well processes are being followed and how well the functions are measuring success.  At any time, an assessment may be required to provide insight and additional information which otherwise would not be readily available.
