Stephen F. Adam



Stephen F. Adam received BS and MS degrees in Mechanical Engineering, MS and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical Engineering. He also holds Teachers Life Credentials in the State of California. He is founder and President-CEO of Adam Microwave Consulting, Inc., since it’s founding in 1984. He was formerly employed by Hewlett Packard Company for 27 years. He’s held various R&D and engineering managerial positions.


Dr. Adam is a Life-Fellow of IEEE, 1980 President of the MTT-Society, Advisory Committee member, and former AdCom member. He also served on TAB at various committee membership and chairmanships. He is Emeritus member of the I&M Society AdCom, Past Chairman of several major Technical Symposia. Recipient of IEEE Centennial Medal 1993; and Third Millennium Medal; Distinguished Service Award; Distinguished Microwave Lecturer Award, and other Meritorious Service Awards.


He is a member of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences. He is the author of numerous articles in trade journals, the author of a text book: Microwave Theory and Applications (Prentice Hall 1969; AMCI 1992).


Ed LeBaker


Ed LeBaker

Ed LeBaker has 35 plus years of business experience in a variety of key positions with several companies.  He has held both top financial and operations positions with his current company and served on the board of directors for his current company and for other companies.  He has degrees in accounting and electronic engineering.  Additionally, he completed the executive studies “mini MBA” program at Stanford University.


Currently, Ed is the Senior Vice President and Chief Operations Officer for Advanced Research and Applications Corporation (ARACOR), a wholly owned subsidiary of OSI Systems, Inc.  Other positions at ARACOR include Chief Financial Officer and Major Systems Program Manager.  Prior to ARACOR, Ed worked for 10 years at Varian Associates Inc. in a variety of financial management roles in manufacturing and corporate.  In addition, Ed has been the owner of a tax business and a management consulting business for almost 30 years.


John Shoemaker

John Shoemaker received his BA with majors in Political Science and Business from Hanover College and his MBA from Indiana University.  John continues to support his alma maters in a number of capacities.  As a Trustee with Hanover College, he serves on the Long Range Planning and Building & Grounds committees.  For Indiana University, he is a member on the Dean’s Advisory Council, the CIO Information Technology Advancement Council, and the Advisory Committee of the Indiana University Johnson Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation.  John is on the Board of Directors for SonicWALL, Inc., serving on committees for Compensation, Strategic Planning Audit and chairs the Governance committee. 


John has held executive management positions within the hi-tech industry for over 35 years.  During his 21 years with Xerox Corporation, John held a number of critical executive positions.  As Vice President of Group Operations, John was
responsible for all staff functions for $2 billion business including finance, business alliances, mergers and acquisitions, marketing, business strategy and customer relations; and accountable for Electronics Division and Special Information Systems Division.  As Senior Vice President of Worldwide Marketing in the Printing Systems division, John was responsible for management of $1.5 billion electronic printing business, including P&L, business strategy, business alliances, mergers and acquisitions, sales coverage, OEM sales, product strategy.  John played a key leadership role in the Xerox Quality Movement including being a member of the Malcolm Baldridge Team and worked with Fuji Xerox in winning the Deming Quality Award in Japan.


During his 14 years with Sun Microsystems, Inc., John held many critical positions including Vice President of Worldwide Operations, Chief Quality Officer, and Executive Vice President and General Manager of Computer Systems.   As Vice President and General Manager of the Enterprise Desktop and Server Systems, John was responsible for over 60% of Sun Microsystems Revenue/Profit.  John led Sun into major new markets in commercial enterprises from low-end workgroup sources to Data Centers, plus high performance computing. John led the acquisition of Cray BSD from SGI, which led to one of the most successful revenue lines in Sun Microsystems history. As an Executive Vice President, John’s was responsible for setting strategy, business management, P&L responsibility and authority for $12B in revenue which included all Sun hardware and systems products.  John played a key role in the Sun Leadership Institute which focuses on increasing the skills of high potential VP’s at Sun Microsystems.  John coached teams in solution of business problems, mentored attendees on development of individual leadership style, values, and interaction with external stockholders like Wall Street, press and industry analysts.  Additionally, he guided director training sessions teaching leadership styles and values and discussing current business challenges and issues.


Tom Holmes


Tom Holmes

Tom Holmes began his career in 1968 as a CPA at KPMG Peat Marwick and in 1972 became a partner in the Hartford, Connecticut based accounting firm, Whittlesey and Hadley.  He began his business career in 1983 as Executive Vice President, Chief Operating Officer of one of the United States’ largest Pella Window and Door distributorships. 


In 1985 he led the acquisition of Keystone Aviation Services Inc. from Uniroyal and was a founding shareholder of its sister entity, Key Air, Inc, a nationally prominent executive aircraft management and charter company. 


In 1986 Mr. Holmes and two partners acquired USCO Logistics from Uniroyal.  At the time, it had approximately $30MM in annual revenue.  Mr. Holmes became Executive Chairman of USCO and over the next 15 years, with an excellent organization, both inherited and recruited,  grew USCO to approximately $255MM in annual revenue and established it as one of the leading North American logistics companies.  In July 2001 Mr. Holmes and his partners sold USCO to Kuehne & Nagel, a $3BN Swiss publicly traded, global freight forwarding, customs brokerage and logistics organization.


In 1987 Mr. Holmes founded Shannon Hotel Group of Longboat Key, FL with three other individuals.  In 1987 he and another partner purchased the Longboat Key Hilton.  In 1990 he and two other partners purchased the Longboat Key Club, and in 1991 he led a small group to purchase the Holiday Inn on Lido Key.  The properties were operated until disposed of in 1998, when Mr. Holmes exited the hospitality industry.


In 2004 Mr. Holmes, along with four partners, led the formation of Flagler Construction Equipment, LLC.  The company was formed to acquire from VolvoCE North America, the Florida market construction equipment distribution business known as LB Smith.  Mr. Holmes serves as Chairman and CEO of the company located in Orlando, FL.


Mr. Holmes is a 1968 graduate of Mt. Saint Mary’s College, Emmitsburg, MD.   Mr. Holmes is Chairman of the Board of Pittsfield Plastics Engineering Inc. of Pittsfield, PA, Chairman of AirDat, LLC located in Morrisville, NC and Evergreen, CO, is on the Board of Truckstop.net, LLC and is a member of the Board of Trustees of St. Stephen’s School, Bradenton, FL.

Stephen Josephs

One of the most experienced leadership coaches in practice today, Stephen Josephs has an uncanny knack for knowing the precise next steps that will help a leader develop in ways that feel natural and productive.  He is also co-creator of Pivotal Conversations, a program that systematically improves communications that affect critical business results.  It draws on his training in cognitive-behavioral psychology, including his years as founder and director of the Massachusetts Institute of Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP).  He is currently writing a book on Leadership Development that introduces readers to adult stages of psychological development.  It shows how being at one stage or another affects a leader’s capacity to lead and gives readers methods for self and group development.


For over 25 years, Steve has studied top performers and has provided coaching and training based on his research.  His insights and advice about how to bring more integrity and trust into business relationships have brought huge rewards to his clients – both monetarily and in their increased satisfaction with their roles. Steve has been certified as a Master Coach by the International Coach Federation.  He holds a Doctorate in Education from the University of Massachusetts, two masters degrees (in Education from Harvard University and in Counseling Psychology from Antioch University), and a BA in Psychology from Clark University.
